This short course is aimed at those wanting to continue developing from Stage 1, recent beginners who want to dive in and are planning to join the Immersion Weekend, and also suits intermediate dancers wanting to hone the fundamentals and work alongside beginners.

If you’re continuing from Stage 1 or developing your practice

This is the natural next step.

We slow things down and begin to refine:

  • your walking
  • your balance and axis
  • your connection and listening

Less about adding moves — more about understanding what you’re actually doing when you dance.

If you’re planning to join the Intensive Weekend

This course offers a grounding before stepping into a deeper enquiry.

The weekend itself is a deep dive — and beginners are welcome if you’re genuinely up for that.
You may feel a little out of your depth at times, but that’s part of the process: learning by stepping up, supported by the group.

This course helps you arrive more prepared — physically, mentally, and in relation to the approach.

Beginner places for the Intensive are limited to 4. We already have 10 experienced dancers confirmed, and it’s important to keep a higher ratio of experienced dancers to support the depth of the work.

If you’re a complete beginner

You’re welcome — but this isn’t a casual drop-in.

If you’d like to join, I can offer a discounted private session to help bring you up to speed so you can get more from the course.

DM to discuss if this feels right, and how to make it possible for you to join.

Focus of the work

  • Understanding connection in the embrace
  • Listening to music and timing
  • Exploring both leading and following
